Your gateway to connecting with fellow veteran families across Western Australia, offering an array of exciting events and activities tailored just for you. RSL WA is on a mission to simplify your journey back to civilian life by creating opportunities for you and your family to bond with like-minded people.
Spanning a range of activities from kickboxing to yoga and everything in between, RSL Active have a range of programs and events to suit everyone. It’s not just about staying active; it’s about having fun, meeting new friends, and thriving in your post-Defence life.
Understanding the power of community connections and shared goals, we’re constantly seeking fresh and exciting ways to engage our diverse veteran community. In Person Yoga with Invisible Injuries - Joondalup RSL Sub-Branch
Join a six-week beginner-friendly yoga program at Joondalup RSL Sub-Branch, on Mondays at 9:00 am – 10:00 am. The classes provide a gentle introduction to the fundamental principles and postures of yoga. Learn about the different styles of yoga, basic breathing techniques and key alignment principles which will set you up for a safe and rewarding practice.
Sessions starting from Monday 21 October 2024. The last session in the program will be on Monday 25 November 2024. You can join in at any time.
Photography Meet Up Fremantle
Meeting Point: Bon Scott Statue, Mews Road, Fremantle.
Come along and shoot the "Blue Hour" and Sunset at Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour. Experienced and learner photographers are welcome. This is a great chance to learn sunset, blue hour and long exposure photography at an iconic location for those less experienced.
Suitable for all camera types including smartphones.
Please wear comfortable shoes and note that this event is weather-dependent and may be rescheduled if it rains. To book your spot, please email karlandwendy@bigpond.com by 5pm on Friday 22 November.

Join a six-week beginner-friendly yoga program at Riverton RSL Sub-Branch, on Tuesdays at 9:30 am – 10:30 am. The classes provide a gentle introduction to the fundamental principles and postures of yoga. Learn about the different styles of yoga, basic breathing techniques and key alignment principles which will set you up for a safe and rewarding practice.
Sessions starting from Tuesday 22 October 2024. The last session in the program will be on Tuesday 26 November 2024. You can join in at any time.
Strava Club
Would you like to get active with other Veterans from around the country?
RSL Active Strava Club is a nationwide initiative with more than 200 members who run, walk and cycle their way to fitness with like-minded peers.
Strava is a virtual platform for all our RSL community to join in and connect, no matter where you are located.

Online Yoga with Invisible Injuries
Veterans and immediate family can join a free six-week ONLINE beginner-friendly yoga program. Use a personal device to sign-in to classes from anywhere in WA. Online yoga classes provide a gentle and accessible introduction to the fundamental principles and postures of yoga. Participants can learn about the different styles of yoga, basic breathing techniques and key alignment principles which will set you up for a safe and rewarding practice.
RSL WA Bowls Events
Join the RSL WA Bowls Section at the Yokine Bowls Club each month on a Friday. The season kicks off in September and runs for six months, as well as plays in other lawn bowls events and carnivals held around the Perth metro area.

Sailing On at the South Perth Yacht Club
RSL Active has teamed up with Sailing On to provide opportunities for RSL WA members, their families, veterans and ADF members to learn new skills and be part of a team through the repair and sailing of yachts.
The crew from Sailing On meet at the South of Perth Yacht Club, 1 Coffee Point Road, Applecross, on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 9am until 12pm.
