Berneigh Elderfield

Berneigh is a senior manager in the resources and energy industry and manages a large, global operations portfolio. She leads high-risk activities and navigates a wide array of challenges to deliver safe and reliable operations.

Berneigh began her career in the Australian Army and went on to train as a helicopter pilot after graduating from the Royal Military College. She spent most of her 11 years in the Army with the 1stAviation Regiment, deploying twice to Timor-Leste in support of peace-keeping operations. During her time as a reconnaissance pilot she flew the Kiowa and ARH Tiger.

Berneigh is a proud veteran and credits her rewarding private sector career with the strong foundation in leadership, strategy and problem solving she gained from her military training and experience. In addition to her career experience, Berneigh holds a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Human Rights. She has also graduated from the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Company Directors’ Course.

Berneigh is passionate about veteran welfare and advocacy. She dedicates time to her local RSL Sub-Branch as the Secretary and sits on the Western Australian Veteran Advisory Committee.

Berneigh has a young, active family and enjoys running, hiking, mountain biking and spending time at the beach.
