WHY JOIN US AS A VOLUNTEER?

Ever wished you could do more?

This is your opportunity to make a real impact by volunteering with RSLWA.

Embracing the spirit of the ANZACs, engaging in vibrant community events, connecting with like-minded people and being part of a movement by leveraging your skills to directly enhance the lives of our country’s veterans.

JOIN ‘Volunteers FOR Veterans’

Be part of our RSLWA Volunteers for Veterans and contribute in various capacities to support our mission, including:

  • Streat appeal collections - helping to fundraise for the ANZAC and Poppy Appeal
  • ANZAC Day dawn service - providing event and public information support
  • ANZAC Day Parade - Carrying banners and flags for the older veterans
  • Knitting beanies for those in need

Our loyal volunteers, affectionately known as the Poppy Ladies, actively engage in ongoing work by creating knitted poppies. These poppies are used throughout the city in various installations for Remembrance Day, including the garden bed around the Flame of Remembrance for the Commemorative Service on November 11 each year.

RSLWA is always in need of volunteers to help us in making a positive difference in the lives of those who have served and continue to serve our country.
