Administration and Governance

Administration and Legal Requirements

The Returned & Services League of Australia WA Branch Incorporated (RSLWA) operates as an incorporated body in Western Australia, governed by the Associations Incorporation Act 2015. As a State Branch of the Returned & Services League of Australia Incorporated (RSL Australia), our mission is to advocate for the interests of former and current service men and women, along with their dependents, in a non-political and non-sectarian manner.

While RSL Australia has branches across various states and territories, the RSL National Congress serves as the overarching governing body. In Western Australia, the RSLWA Board of Directors takes charge between Annual State Congresses. This board includes State President, State Vice-President, and three trustees, with the flexibility to co-opt up to two non-elected members possessing specialised skills.

To ensure representation, State Congress is convened annually, allowing compliant Sub-Branches to send delegates in accordance with the Constitution's requirements.

Additional information on policies, by-laws and conduct can be accessed via the downloadable documents located in the left-hand side bar.
